Different Markets and Bets on the SteamChaser
-
The main markets the Steam Chaser will recommend as great value bets will be Total Goals or Handicap markets. Most users will already be familiar with betting on total goals, however, the handicap and Asian markets may be brand new to some. They can initially be a little tricky to understand, and it's very important that you bet on the exact market that the Steam Chaser give
Handicap market - gives you the option to bet on a team to win, but with a built-in advantage or disadvantage. This might be +1 goal or -1 goal for example. So if you bet on a Leicester -1 handicap, for your bet to be a winner, you need Leicester to win the match even after removing 1 of their goals (a 2-0 win becomes a 1-0 win). In other words, they need to win by 2 or more goals for the -1 handicap bet to be a winner.
On the Steam Chaser you'll see that there's Asian Handicap and European Handicap. Some bookies will provide both of these handicap types, and others will only have one of them available.
You can toggle between the two on the software
European Handicap is a 3-way market (three options to bet on) and will sometimes be called "3-way Handicap" instead of European Handicap.
European Handicap uses whole numbers (e.g. -1, -2, -3, +1, +2, +3). For example: "Leicester -1".Asian Handicap is a 2-way market (two options to bet on). There is no Tie (Draw) option.
Asian Handicap can use decimal numbers as well as whole numbers (e.g. -1, -0.75, -0.5, -0.25, 0, +0.25, +0.5, +0.75, +1). For example: "Leicester -0.5".Total Goals (or Total Points if it's on a sport with points such as Basketball).
Ordinarily, the total goals markets will in increments of 0.5 goals. You can bet on Over or Under. An example would be "Over 2.5 Goals".
Since you can't have half a goal, this bet is the equivalent of 3 or more goals scored in the match.
If you're betting on a 1st Half market, then it would instead be 3 more goals scored in the first half. Always make sure that if the Steam Chaser recommends a Full Time market, that you're betting on that. If it recommends a 1st Half one, then find the 1st Half market at the bookie
Asian Total Goals can have whole numbers or increments of 0.25, as well as the standard .5 markets. E.g. "Over 3.25 Goals".
The Asian .5 markets are exactly the same as the standard .5 markets. E.g. "Asian Over 1.5 Goals" is the same as "Over 1.5 Goals" on the standard Total Goals market.
If the total number of goals is exactly what the bet was placed on, then the bet is void (stake amount returned), rather than lost. For example if you bet £100 on "Asian Over 3 Goals" and there were exactly 3 goals in the match, you'd get your £100 backhttps://outplayed.com/offers/steam-chaser/steam-chaser-markets this link shows examples of how the bookmakers present these different markets to us and details the markets in more detail if required
