Introduction
Outplayed’s Edge Finder is a powerful tool for finding value bets over Football and Basketball markets.
Designed for No Lay betting, it helps you identify bets that have a positive expected value.
The Edge Finder calculates the Expected Value (EV) of your bet — showing you which bets are profitable in the long run. This gives you a massive edge, letting you skip the guesswork and focus only on bets with proven mathematical value.
If you’re familiar with the Extra Place Master in No Lay mode, then you will likely already know how the Edge Finder works.
Using the Edge Finder
When to Use It
You can use the Edge Finder at any time throughout the week.
However, weekends and evenings are when you’ll typically find the most value — as these periods coincide with live matches and greater market volatility.
While the software can detect value in events taking place days ahead, we recommend targeting events starting within the next few hours. These tend to offer better opportunities and are less likely to be picked up by bookmakers.
How to Use It
The Edge Finder is for No Lay betting only.
Datatable
Match - The event that you are betting on.
Market - The betting market where value has been identified.
Selection - The bet to place.
Starts - The scheduled start time of the event.
EV% - The expected value of the selection. In simple terms this is a rating of how much value there is per £100 staked. For example, a 116.3% EV means that the value of a £100 total stake would be £16.30.
If EV% > 100%, it’s profitable.
If EV% < 100%, it’s not.B. Odds - The current bookmaker odds. These are green for odds under 5 and red for odds over 5.
High odds usually carry higher variance and are more likely to attract bookmaker scrutiny, so they are best avoided.Stake - The recommended stake based on the Kelly Criterion. You can adjust your percentage of Kelly in the settings depending on your risk appetite.
Bookmaker - The bookmaker offering the value bet. Clicking this opens the bookmaker’s site directly to save time
Alert Feed
The Alert Feed displays new value bets that meet your filter criteria.
If you’re targeting bets with an EV of 110% or higher, you should expect a steady flow of alerts during busy market periods.
Clicking on an alert automatically loads that event into your search filter, allowing you to explore related markets or bookmakers to find the best fit for your strategy.
When finished, remember to clear your search to return to the full data table.Placing Your Bets

Staking
Because the Edge Finder focuses on lower odds value bets, variance is lower than tools like the Extra Place Master or Golf Master.
This means you can often increase staking slightly.
If you’ve entered your bankroll and Kelly % in the settings (typically 25–50% of Kelly), the tool will automatically display your recommended stake size. -
Use Multiple Bookmakers
The Edge Finder integrates with nearly 100 bookmakers, allowing you to spread bets widely and reduce the risk of account restrictions. -
Check the Market
Always double-check that you’re betting in the correct market.
For example, Asian Handicap and European Handicap markets differ — placing a bet in the wrong one will distort your results. -
Check for Market Movement
Before placing a bet, verify that the EV% hasn’t decreased.
Markets can move quickly, and a once-profitable bet can become negative EV (-EV) within minutes.

Hey everyone,
Welcome to our new forum- you’ve all been selected to test our new software, the Edge Finder
This forum will be our central place for any questions, feedback, or discussion.
The Edge Finder is currently finding lots of value in the football markets, with only a small fraction of the data currently being displayed on the tool.
I would recommend sticking to games that are close to kick off and have odds less than 5.

This happens when bookmakers remove the market.
Currently the software removes most of these, but this functionality is still a work in progress for some of the bookmakers.

@Loser101 ah i did it on my laptop but then i looked on my phone and it was there when i was on the EPM screen, are you using an app version of the site? maybe just go to the website if you are?

Thanks for the invite!
If I click the calculator on a selection it won't let me type a full stop/decimal point in either the odds or stake boxes. If i need to adjust the odds slightly if it doesn't match with the bookie, or enter a particular stake (unless it's just me!)

@mike_durr definitely not just you. I have the same issue.
I'm struggling to find any of the games at the moment. I can also only get it to work on my mobile if I use "desktop version". Is this likely to be resolved too? Thank you
